Newly widowed: support during the first year of widowhood
The Camp Widow newly widowed workshop is designed for those who have been widowed for less than a year. The content for this workshop is based on research undertaken through the Soaring Spirits Resilience Centre, Texas. It will focus on providing participants with tools and resources designed to help them manage the early days of widowhood, as well as the opportunity to connect with other widowed people who are new to this life experience.
Recently widowed: tools and tips for healing for those widowed one to three years
The Camp Widow recently widowed workshop is designed for those who were widowed anywhere from one to three years ago. The content for this workshop is based on research undertaken through the Soaring Spirits Resilience Centre, Texas. It will focus on providing participants with tools and resources designed to help them manage the second year of widowhood and beyond. It is also an opportunity to connect with other widowed people who have survived that first year and are continuing to move through their grief.
Middle widowed: hope and healing for those widowed three to five years
The Camp Widow middle widowed workshop is designed for those widowed three to five years. These middle widowhood years are generally a time of searching, rebuilding and getting to know yourself within the widowed experience. The content for this workshop is based on research undertaken through the Soaring Spirits Resilience Centre, Texas. It will provide resources and tools that address the concepts of developing a sense of self, creating and managing healthy boundaries and crafting a different life than the one that was planned with your loved one.
Seasoned widowed: community building for those widowed five years and more
There are many common misconceptions about the length of time widowed people will need the support of their community. As widowed people continue to rebuild their lives, their need for access to and connection with their widowed community evolves and the topics they need to discuss change. The content for this workshop is based on research undertaken through the Soaring Spirits Resilience Centre, Texas. It has been designed for those whose widowhood is no longer the largest part of their lives, yet it also informs the way they see the world and the challenges faced in the new life that they have created.
